Where you will be coached
Choose the part of your game
A lesson can be anywhere on the property. Tell your coach what you want to work on when you book, and they will pick the right place for it.
Driving range
Twenty-six covered, floodlit bays, plus four private coaching bays. The place for full swing work, ball striking and anything that benefits from hitting a lot of balls with the numbers in front of you. Open into the evening, right through the winter.
Short game area
Two greens, three tee box areas and a sloped fairway, covering every approach shot you will face. Chipping, pitching and bunker play. It is kept for tuition and professional use, so you are never waiting on anyone.
Putting green
Where most shots are saved. Work on your stroke, start line, pace and reading greens, on the same surfaces you will be putting on when you go out and play.
Out on the course
The range tells you what your swing does. The course tells you what your golf does. Playing lessons cover club selection, course management and the shots you only ever face with a card in your hand. Ask your coach about taking a session out onto the 18 holes.
Before you book
Worth knowing
Do I need my own clubs?
No. We have clubs you can borrow for a first lesson, so you can find out whether you enjoy it before buying anything.
Do I have to be a member?
No. Kings Acre is open golf, so anyone can take a lesson or play the course.
What if it rains?
The range bays are covered and floodlit, so lessons go ahead in almost any weather.
Can I change my booking?
Yes. Use the link in your confirmation email to reschedule, or call the shop on 0131 663 3456.
Which coach should I pick?
Have a read through everyone’s bio and a look at their social media. They all teach a little differently, so go with whoever sounds like the best fit for you.
Can I buy a lesson as a gift?
Yes. Get in touch at info@kings-acregolf.com and we will sort out a gift voucher.
